Hello folks,
Sorry I haven't blogged recently, I have been unable to get properly online. Chrome just suddenly stopped working and it has taken me a while to find which buttons to press to get it back - but I'm here now!! (Hopefully,it will be okay for a while)
I will have a bit of a catch up, so three cards today, all using the dancing couples stencils.
The background for the first one is done by gently brayering acrylic paints round the card in random patches. Once dry, I put the stencil in place and sponged grey paint through. I let that dry then used the words and sponged white paint through.
I added lines and circles by dipping lids and a spreader in the paint and applying to the cards randomly.
The background for the second card is done with the gel press petite rectangle. I added different colour inks to the plate and 'stamped' it on the card to make the pattern.
I used a glitter paste to drag through the stencil and added some spots of paint all round.
My favourite of the three is this one, simply using black texture paste dragged through the stencil and adding a few gems.
I had originally intended to do more with it, but it looked so lovely on its own, I just left it!
Stencils used:
Ballroom dancers
Dance words
Jive dancers
Tango dancer

Thanks very much for dropping by, hope you have a great weekend,
Janet xxx
Welcome to my blog and thanks for visiting! Here you will mostly find stuff about cards - making cards is what I do when I'm not doing my 'proper job'. You are welcome to use any ideas you like, I would appreciate a mention if you copy any cards on here Thank you x There will be stuff about cats (I currently have 4!) most of whom have turned up on the doorstep and moved in!! Coffee is what I will be drinking as I update the blog! I hope you enjoy your visit
