Treescape Seasons

Good morning!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.  It was the Claritystampers East workshop at Bawburgh yesterday, 6 years since the very first one and a couple of weeks ago, it was the 5th birthday of the Great Blakenham group.  My next blog post will be dedicated to the Claritystampers groups, I will do a little trip back over the years....

For today, I will show you the cards I made for the Treescape stamps and stencils which were on TV last week.  They sold out really quickly, not surprising, they are lovely.

All the cards are made the same way, I just used different colours for the different seasons.  use the oval picot dies to cut three ovals: the smallest and largest cut from a piece of the same designer card and the middle one cut from white card.
Take the smallest oval and brush lightly with a little talc, stamp the Treescape with versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
Adhere the ovals together to make a topper
On a 5x7 card attach the stencil and brush matching colour Distress Oxide inks through
Remove the stencil and stamp the appropriate word for the season and a little bird.
Attach the topper to the card.
Very easy!

Thanks very much for visiting, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cheery Santa

Good morning everyone,
It is a blustery old morning here, but a good drying day, as they say.  My washing is hanging out and I am keeping an eye on it in case it blows away.  I have some samples to make today, but I have time to show you what we did at the Claritystampers East workshop at Bawburgh on Saturday.  We also did these at the workshop in Great Blakenham a few weeks ago.

We made a start on Christmas cards, I know it seems early to some people, but if you are going to send handmade cards, you have to get going!
The first card caused a bit of huffing and puffing, but everyone loved the finished result, so hopefully it was worth the effort!
This is all die cut.  Start by cutting the image out of black card, attach to a base circle, then die cut all the pieces out of different colour card and fill in the gaps.  It is a bit fiddly, but I loved doing it.
Cut a gold circle frame and embed the black circle into it.
For the background, just use versamark to stamp the words  across the card.

For the second card, die cut a green ring, then attach to the base card, after stamping the Christmas words in green ink
On separate card, stamp colour and cut out the Holly and Ivy spray and some extra leaves and berries, then assemble round the circle, add a touch of glitter to the berries.

The third card was back to die cutting.
Die cut the doves and attach to a die cut circle base, then very lightly brush brown ink over the image.
Add more colour to the raised parts by using gilding wax.
The strip down the side of the card is a piece of hessian with a piece of ribbon over the top.
I added a touch of brown to the background card, so it toned in with the main image.
Add some gems for the eyes and also dot a few around on the card.
Stamp the greeting on separate card, cut out and attach.

This is a different version using the deer die.

It was lovely to see the results all the ladies produced and as always, lovely to chat and have a laugh along the way!

Thanks very much for visiting, hope to see you again soon

Town Houses

Hello Bloggers,
Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made with the new Town House stamp and stencil.  The stamp set comes as a three way overlay, so you get the same image in three different forms, an outline and outline filler and an inside filler.  This allows you to easily colour different parts of the image.
Personally, I find it quite hard to overlay the images perfectly, but I think that is down to my eyes!  I am slowly improving with practice and a few tips one of which is that you have to be quite close to the image when you hover over it with the stamp.

For this card, I attached the stencil to a piece of stencil card, then brushed blue ink towards the top and brown ink towards the bottom of the stencil
On a separate piece of card, I stamped the outline in brown archival, the inked up the top of the inlay stamp with the same blue ink, and wiped away any bits I didn't want, then stamped over the image to give a blue sky.
I added brown ink over the buildings and wiped away any ink from the sky, then stamped that in place.
I decided against adding the filler of the outline so it remains white, the same as the stencil.
I tore round the stamped and stencilled images then mounted both on matching card.
For the second card, I kept it very simple, I used the Stone Wall stencil and brushed black soot ink through the whole stencil.  I added a few black splatters.
On separate card, I stamped the outline in black and coloured in with black and grey pencils.

Stamps used:Three Way Townhouse
Stencils used: Town stencil

Last of the Beer Mats

Good morning!
It was the Diva Red workshop on Saturday and we made a start with Christmas cards - I know this is a bit early for some of you, but we have to start now to get them all made in time to send out!
I was given some beer mats a while ago by one of my crafty friends, a pub local to her was closing and had lots of unused beer mats left.  I have to confess they sat in my stash for quite a while until I got some Bigz dies, then I remembered them.  They are brilliant for die cutting!  They are not too heavy, but they provide a lovely surface to work with.
I had used most of them in previous projects, but still  had enough left for this project.  Sadly, I have used them all now, but I intend to find some more!

Cut two stars from your beer mat, brush white Gesso over and allow to dry.  Scrape some texture paste through the Spots and Stars petite stencil and allow to dry
Brush some blue Distress Oxide ink over the whole star, then wipe some off again to reveal the stars from the texture paste.
Add some glitter glue if you fancy.
Decide where you are going to position the stars, then stamp a couple of dangles from Linda's Birthday Dangles set
Along the side, I added a piece of Washi tape, a strip of paper and a peel off border (remember them?)
Stick the stars in place and add the greeting from the Christmas Greetings set Which I stamped and cut out from a spare piece of card.

For the second card, we made a nice background by brushing watercolour paint in blocks on some mixed media card.  Allow to dry then stick a post-it note in the centre and stamp snowflakes round the edge to make a frame.  Outline with a fine black pen
On a separate piece of card stamp the bauble and the robin in place and colour (I used watercolour paints)
Stamp a couple of snowflakes and cut out the bauble.
I didn't cut out the top loop, I stamped the on the card and stuck the cut out bauble over the top.
Add some white dots and a fine line to hang the bauble from.
The stamps for this card are all from the Christmas Bauble set

Thanks very much for visiting, I hope you enjoy your day! Janet xx

A Nice Background

Good Morning!
I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend, in spite of the rain!
Have you heard that Leonie is joing the Clarity team?  Isn't that brilliant!  She is going to start a mixed media line which I am looking forward to very much.

I saw Leonie do a lovely background on TV the other day and had to give it a go, the two cards today both have the background.

To do the background, I used mixed media cardstock.
Spritz with water, so the card is wet
Brush watercolour paint in blocks all round the card, overlap the colours slightly but leave them mostly in blocks
Spritz with more water and blot to give a lovely faded effect.
I did two of these backgrounds to make two cards.
The fist one I cut the card square, the masked off the centre and stamped the poppy leaves all round the edge.
Add a tiny bit of black ink round the edge of the frame
Remove the mask and stamp the poppy in the centre
Colour everything in using pencils
Outline the square with a fine black pen and mat onto black, then a white base card.

For the second card, I die cut the Wild Privet from the new Fresh Cut Dies collection at Claritystamp, then cut it out using a square die from the Nested Squares set
I cut some of the leaves out of the centre of the design then attached it to the background.
I stamped the words from the new Mini Word Chain 17+18 using black archival ink
Mount onto a black card base.

Thank you for visiting today, I will try not to leave it too long until I blog again.

A crafty week

Good evening everyone,
Thank you for popping in.  It has been a lovely week off work for me, sorry to say I will have to go back to work tomorrow.  I could certainly get used to time off with all this sunshine!
I had a fab time in Kent with my friend and at the Crowborough retreat with Barbara, Dave, Paul and the Clarity Crew.  It is always lovely to craft along with like minded people and have a laugh and a catch up with old friends.  Oh... we made some lovely cards too!  Everyone works so hard to make it good for us, so a huge 'Thank You' to everyone. I will post my projects, but they still need finishing off, so watch this space...
When I got home, we had a family day on Saturday as some relatives were visiting from Canada, then on Sunday it was a Claritystampers East workshop in Great Blakenham.  These are the projects from the class...all done using the Poppies set of stamps
For this card, start by masking off a strip at the bottom of the card and blend ink over, add the brick wall stencil and blend more ink through.
Stamp the grass in place and colour in.
Splatter a little ink and add some gems, then stamp the greeting and attach to the card.  Mat on matching card.
For the second card, add some ink to a rectangle stamp mount, spritz with water and press on to the card, repeat if necessary and add some ink round the edge of the mount to give a bit of a frame, using the same inks, stamp a second generation leaf around the background then allow to dry.
Stamp the main images in black archival.
Tear round the inky area, leaving a bit of a white edge.
Decide where the topper is going to sit on the base card, then stamp the leaf in black, just in one corner.  Attach the topper and add a few gems to balance the design.

The last card is done with just one inkpad.
Place a square post-it in the centre of a square piece of card, Blend a little ink from the post-it out, then stamp the leaves around the frame.
Remove the post-it then stamp the poppy and the word in place.
Add a little of the ink to a mat and pick up the colour with a water brush and use to colour in the images.

All nice and simple cards this time!

Hope to see you again soon,
Stay cool!

Off to Crowborough...!

Good morning all!

I am packed and ready for my trip to Kent and the Clarity Retreat in Crowborough.  I stay with a friend of mine and we catch up with all the news from the last year then we go to the Retreat and enjoy crafting with Barbara and Paul and meeting lots of crafty friends, then we have another day together and I come home.  I have left instructions for feeding and watering the plants, birds and hedgehogs, so all should be well.  This year, I have seen as many as five hedgehogs in the garden at the same time, so they are doing well here, even if they are in trouble generally.

My cards today are there ones I did with Tina Cox's lovely flowers and Dragonflies set of stamps, this comes as a big A4 set of individual parts so you can make up your own flowers...
For the first one, I blended inks to make a rainbow background, then stamped the line writing greetings in place and built up the design from there.
It doesn't show on the picture, but I have outlined all the flowers with a gold glitter pen.
I added some gems to finish
For the second card, I stamped and cut out the flower heads and dies cut some rings.  One of my favourite parts of this set is the lines with the squiggles across, I can see me using them on all sorts of things!
I used them here in the background and also as a corner emellishment

For the final card, I stamped on a watercolour background and coloured in the flowers.
I used the squiggly lines to add a frame and a base for the flower to ground it.

Thanks very much for visiting, see you after the retreat!

A Little Birdie Says 'Hi'

Good day to everyone,
It is lovely here, hot and sunny, just my sort of weather!  I know some people prefer it cooler, but I love the sun!  I have a sore back, sunburnt shoulders and hands covered in mud - but I also have a patio with lots of pretty flowers in pots and a cleaned out wormery, so I am happy!

I should be making cards really, but I normally work in the conservatory, which is south-facing , so that would definitely be too hot, also all my ink pads would just dry out immediately!  I am planning the cards from the comfort of my chair in the sun, then I will make them this evening, once it has cooled down.  I just hope it all goes according to plan.... (when did that EVER happen??)
Today's card is one using the really cute little bird from Tina Cox's Doodle Flowers set

For the main image, I just stamped all the pieces in place with archival ink and coloured using the fab new Pergamano blending pen and tips, I picked up the ink with the tip straight from the inkpad.  There are some tiny bits to colour and the tips made it easy!  I cut it to size and mounted on to green card.
For the background, I just stamped the different leaves around the edge of the card, blended some ink round, then coloured in the leaves in the same way I did the bird.

Right, I am off to admire my new pots, get my legs brown (while protecting my shoulders!) and have a long, cool drink while planning my next cards.  Love it!
Thanks very much for visiting

Kraft and Blue.. and a Rainbow

Good morning,
It has been fabulous weather here in Norfolk, I have been enjoying the sun and have been getting some gardening done.  Sadly my days of spending hours just lying in the sun have gone, there is always weeding or pruning or basically clearing out the undergrowth to be done.

For today's cards, I have used the three way overlay stamp and stencil sets

For the first card I used the Marigold and friends set  I made the background on kraft card first.  Brush a little white paint along the centre of the card and add a little Blue Chase ink.
Brush some Rich Mocha ink through the Petite brick wall stencil in patches round the card
Make some circles by spreading some white paint on a mat and dip a lid in then add to the card
I used some texture paste to spread through the stencil in the set
Allow it all to dry then add some washi tape for interest and finish with some lines and circles of blue ink
Mount onto white card then more Kraft card
For the central circle, I stamped in Blue Chase ink then die cut the circle and edged with Rich Mocha brown ink.
Finish with a few gems

For the second card, I stamped the Cornflower in place and masked it, then added the rainbow round the edge by adding ink to acetate, spritzing with water and adding to the card.  Do one colour at a time
Use the same colours to colour the image.  I found the new blending tips really useful to get in all the tiny spaces. I just picked the colour up on the tip straight from the ink pad.

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you have a wonderful day.

Die cutting with Clarity

Good evening,
I am back home with my feet up after a weekend of Claritystampers East workshops.  It was Bawburgh on Saturday and Great Blakenham on Sunday.  It is always lovely to get together with such a fab bunch of ladies, we even had a young lady of 8 join us on Saturday and she produced some fantastic cards.
My favourite cards were the ones we did with the lovely new Fresh Cut Dies from Clarity, we did two cards.....

This one is done with the Queen Anne's Lace die, cut into a square of cream textured card, then snip away some of the design.
For the back ground, blend some ink onto card, add a bit of interest with the brick wall stencil and a few white splatters, then attach the piece together and mount onto the base

This is the same thing with different colours and the Casablana Lilies die

For the other cards, the Wild Privet was cut out of black card and stuck onto double-sided adhesive, then covered with gilding flakes and burnished to give a lovely effect.
I added the Chameleon on this one
This one I left plain and will add a message later.

Thanks very much for visiting,

Chamomile and Friends

Hello bloggers,

Time whizzes by so fast these days, Maria is on the TV with more stamps and I realised that I haven't posted about the last ones yet!  This card is done with the Chamomile and Friends set.  It is one of the 3 way overlay sets which are brilliant!  You get three stamps of the same image, an inny, an outy and an outline and a stencil.  There are lots of combinations for using them.

For this card, I added two colours of ink to the square gel press petite plate, press the outy image of the stamp on the plate to pick up the ink, spritz lightly and stamp.
I inked the basic circle stamp and added that round the edge.
I added lots of splatters of the same colour inks and cut to size.
For the background, I spritzed the ink remaining of the gel press and 'stamped' it on the card to give a watercolour background
Allow to dry, then brush ink lightly through the stencil all round the edge of the card.
I also stamped parts of the circle round the edge.
I added a few black splatters to everything and doodled some lines round the edges.
Assemble everything and mount onto a base card
Thank you very much for visiting, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Sitting on the fence

Good evening,
It was an amazing show for Barbara on Hochanda today - a sell out before the end of the show!  I loved using the 3-way overlay stamps, but will post those cards later.
Today, I am showing a card we did at the Diva Red workshop yesterday morning...

I die cut the wood panels from a beer mat, added a thin coat of white acrylic paint, allowed to dry then added blue and green acrylic paint and allowed to dry.
I also added a little of each paint colour on a piece of kraft card.
To get the wood effect, I stamped the stems from a bulrushes stamp, which may no longer be available, in Brown archival ink.  I also inked round all the edges in brown.

Stamp the owl on another piece of card, colour and cut out.

Arrange all the pieces on the kraft card and glue into place

I hope you like him!

That's torn it!

Good evening everyone,

It has been a lovely day here, right up until it thundered!  It has been quite dry though, so a quick downpour was welcomed by my plants.  I have actually managed to get a bit of gardening done, which has been good.  I do enjoy getting outside and seeing what has been going on with my plants and shrubs.  I mostly do weeding and a bit of cutting back because I don't get to do as much as I would like, so things tend to get a bit (lot!) overgrown!

Anyway, on to the card for today.  I saw some cards on fb where a lady had used torn books/newsprint and thought it looked great, so inspired by that, I did my own version...

I dabbed the book page in some spritzed black ink, allowed it to dry then tore a couple of strips, inked the edges with black and attached to a piece of lovely designer paper.  Trim then stamp the chameleons in place.
I then made fusible film and fibre versions of the chameleons, cut them out and attached over the top of the stamped mages.
Mat onto black and green card.

Hope you like it!
Thanks very much for visiting, have a lovely evening

Flying, Frogs and Flowers

Good morning all,

At last, the weather is turning sunny!  It makes such a difference doesn't it?  This is definitely my favourite time of year.

I was at the Claritystampers East workshops at Bawburgh and Great Blakenham over the last two weekends.  It is always great to see everyone and catch up with what is going on.

It was a workshop featuring stencils this time...

For the first card, we used the Umbrellas stencil to create the background.  Brush ink lightly over the whole stencil, then pick out certain areas to add more colour
Stamp the script from the Journaling set randomly in the gaps
Stamp the Flying Boy and the greeting with black

This is another version, using stronger colours and adding some splatters

...and this one with the frogs, which I stamped and embossed with green ink and crystal embossing powder
This was the first version I did of the background in my mind the umbrellas looked a bit like lily pads! (I think they are actually tree frogs but maybe they fancied a dip in a pond!)

The final card for today features the lovely Alium stencil, this comes in two parts.
Attach the outer part to the card and brush plenty of ink through.  Keep the stencil in place and stamp the script all over.
Add the inner part of the stencil and sponge lots of black through
Cut to size, edge the card with a black pen, add some Washi tape and mount on the base card
As a final touch, dip dot some black paint in the centres of the flowers.
I will probably add a greeting later

Thanks very much for visiting, enjoy the rest of your day!

Another catch up!

Good morning!

I am up and about early today, I always wake up much earlier in the spring because it is so light in the mornings.  I am very sad to report that none of my house martins have made it back this year.  Hearing the lovely chattering outside the window is one of the joys of spring and summer for me, so I will miss that very much.  There are a few pairs nesting locally, so hopefully they will have a good breeding year and repopulate my nests.  It is very sad that their numbers are declining (along with most other creatures, apart from humans who are multiplying out of control!)

As usual, I am catching up with cards, so here are two from the three way overlay sets.  These stamp set have three parts to each image: an inner an outer and an outline, which you can overstamp in different colours.  I find lining these up incredibly difficult, I think my eyes must have some sort of defect, it always looks ok while I am stamping but it is usually way off, so I decided to use the stamps separately!

I started by adding lots of ink to a piece of stencil card to create an ombre effect.
I stamped the inner and outer parts of the stamp in a pattern using black ink
outline with a fine black pen and mount onto black card
For the background, I stamped the outline all round the edge of the card and coloured in bits here and there.  Edge with a black sharpie pen

I managed to get a decent line up for the second card!
I did the three way overlay, then added some ink to the square gel press petite and 'stamped' that over the top
I added a couple of squiggly black lines round the edge.
Mask this off then brush ink through the matching stencil to make the frame.
add a few splatters and some black paint dots.
Mount onto black card.

Stamps used:
Fossil leaf & stencil
Queen Anne's lace & stencil

This is just a quick look at some older cards, for this one I used the Toadstool and Hares set
I masked off the central square, stamped the leaves around, the removed the mask and stamped and coloured the main image
The fourth card is done by brushing the ink through the lovely aperture stencil and overstamping with the hares.

Thank you very much for visiting, I hope you enjoy your day!

5th Anniversary

Good evening everyone,
Today fb informed me that it was 5 years ago that I did my first blog post.  I can't believe it was that long ago - time seems to whizz by so fast these days. (I know that is a sign that I am getting old!)
It has been very enjoyable, posting cards here and also visiting other blogs, reading the news and finding inspiration for cards.

The first and second card are done in a similar way:
Stamp the main image on a piece of stencil card, colour in and tear round it.  Now you can use it when you are doing the background to make sure everything is placed correctly.
For the background piece, start by squishing some ink on a mat, dilute a little with water and paint an area a bit bigger than the main topper on the card. Add a few splatters too.
Stamp and stencil to create the background.
Keep placing the topper on the card, so you can get an idea of how it will all look
When you are happy, attach the topper and finish with a few gems

For the third card, I used a lovely piece of card from the petites set, I stamped the trees, bird and Lily in place

Stamp Lily two more times on another piece of the card and cut out different parts of her dress to layer on the main image

Thanks very much for visiting and thank you for sticking with me if you have here for the full 5 years!

At Last! 4 cards to catch up.

Good morning all,

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.  Sorry it has been a while since I last blogged, but I haven't been feeling brilliant.  I have had a viral infection which has drained me of energy (not that I have much energy at the best of times!)  Anyway, I am mostly better now although I do still have a bit of a cough left.

Four cards to show you today, to catch up a bit:

This one uses the Lily of the Valley stamp set and distress oxides inks.
Stamp the Lily of the Valley in place with a permanent ink
Squish the ink pads on a piece of acetate, spritz with water and add to the card, around the image.
Water colour the image using oxides inks picked up from a mat with a damp paintbrush
Stamp the verse
add some gems
Squiggle a fine line round the edge of the card.

A nice simple card, just stamp the Freesia and verse in place and colour in
Place a heart stencil over the verse and apply a gold colour ink through the aperture
Add a few strips of designer paper for interest

The stamps used are from the Freesia and Mother verse set

For the third card I've used:
Mandalas petite stencils set 1
Mandalas and Mask stamp set
Journalling set
Gel Press Petites set 1

Start by adding ink to the square gel press petite plate, add some texture with scrunched up copy paper and print onto some stencil card,
Repeat until you like your background
Tear round the square
Ink up the stencil with plenty of black ink
Place face down on the prepared square and run through a die cutting machine to transfer the ink
Stamp the mandala on a separate piece of card, colour with pencils, cut out and attach to the centre of the stencil image
On another piece of stencil card, mke the background by stamping various images from the journalling set and sponging and splattering some ink.
Mat onto black card and attach together
Finish with dots of black paint

Last card for today! Using the same stamp sets as the previous card and the Mini word chains 11&12
On two pieces of stencil card, use distress oxides to create the backgrounds,
Cut one piece down and stamp images from the journalling set
On a separate piece of card, stamp three mandalas, colour and cut out to create flower heads
Attach these to the main card, then draw some stems with a fine black pen
Add the words and some paint dots
Add sequins in the centres of the flowers.

Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you again soon!

Cards from the weekend

Hello everyone,
It has been a while since I last blogged, sorry about that, but I will post several cards.  Since we last met, I have turned 60!!  I can't believe I have got to be that age, I guess if you keep getting up and going to bed day after day it all just adds up bit by bit and suddenly you are the one at work who has been there the longest, rather than being the young inexperienced one.
We've also had the Beast from the East and we certainly had plenty of snow here, I couldn't get in to work a couple of days and we cancelled the Diva Red workshop as the village where the hall is was snowed under.
We did manage to go ahead with the Claritystampers East workshop on the Sunday which was good.  The snow was still hanging around in patches nearly a week later when we had the Claritystampers East workshop in Bawburgh, but travel was back to normal by then.

Here are the cards we made:

Using the Art Nouveau stamps and Abstract Squares stencil and coloured with promarkers

We made the background by cutting a plastic bag so it folds like a book. then squished and spritzed ink on one side, then folded the other side over and moved the ink around, then opened it up and pressed the card over the top.  Spritz and move the ink around again (without re-inking) to get onother background.  We had to leave the card to dry.  I think there were some people there who could have spent all day just doing that!
Once dry, stamp and colour the main image and add the stencil design round the edge

The last card looks simple, but it took a while!  It is a repeat of the sample card I made and blogged earlier.

It was lovely to see people again, we had had quite a long break, so it was great to see everyone again and catch up with our crafting!

I won't leave it so long till I blog again,
Thanks for visiting and see you again soon,

More art nouveau

Good evening,

I hope you are keeping warm!  It has been pretty nippy round here!  I found a little hedgehog out and about during the afternoon.  I know enough to know that means they are in trouble, so I brought it in and kept it warm, offered food and water and have now found a lady who will look after it properly.  Hopefully it will make it through the winter and maybe I'll get it back to release in the garden in spring. I weighed it and it was far too small to hibernate, hopefully it will have a chance now.

So looking forward to spring, the cards today are floral and spring coloured.  Both done using the Clarity designer card and the Art Nouveau stamps

The main image is stamped and coloured.  The Snowdrops are left white but have some glitter pens over the top.
I tore round the frame and mounted on dark green cardand tore round that too.
For the background, I chose a matching piece of designer card, blended dark green ink  through bits of the stencil and stamped 'For You' in the same green ink round the background.
I tore the card in half and curled up the torn edges, then attached to a white base card.
Attach the main image to the front and add gems/sequins to finish.
Stamp the word 'Snowdrops' on a spare piece of card and add to the front of the card
Stamps used:
Art Nouveau Snowdrops and Tulips
Art Nouveau Sentiments
Abstract Squares stencil

For the second card, I stamped and coloured the Poppy Fields image and stamped the words in place.  colour in, cut ti size and mount on matching card
Stamp the image again on spare card, colour the flower heads and cut out.
Choose a matching piece of card from the designer card range and cut into squares and rectangles.
Arrange on the base card and add the main image and loose flower heads
Stamps Used:
Art Nouveau Bed of Roses and Poppy Fields
Designer card packs - Petite Edition

Thanks for visiting, I can hear the little hedgehog rummaging around, so I hope that is a good sign!
