You are welcome to use any ideas you like, I would appreciate a mention if you copy any cards on here Thank you x
There will be stuff about cats (I currently have 4!) most of whom have turned up on the doorstep and moved in!!
Coffee is what I will be drinking as I update the blog!
I hope you enjoy your visitJanet Pringhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18368226572733720765noreply@blogger.comBlogger447125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767703019979415274.post-83793153577561678522020-09-12T17:03:00.015+01:002020-09-12T17:17:30.158+01:00A step by step...<p> Hello everyone,</p><p>I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the warm weather. </p><p>Today, I have a step by step for a card I made a while ago...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; These are more samples from the last ODS shows on Hochanda. As far as I know, they still haven't turned up, so it's anyone's guess where they are!</p><p>I enjoy finding ways of making stencils the star of my card rather than the background. I thought I would show you some things I did with the rather fabulous designs by Abs. I fell in love with Lotza Dotz the minute I saw it and now there are more shapes to add to my list of favourites. They all work brilliantly well for backgrounds and for adding a bit of texture paste through, but I wanted a way to bring them to the fore!</p><p>Enter doodling! The A4 size stencils have nice large areas to doodle in , so I brushed up on a few patterns and got out my fine liner... (to be fair,my fine liner never actually gets put away..!)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhACmRJpRvfTdr4pTmG_wg01X64nllpBvQ9ZFkd2CYMhzLNQuUA_kk4blW5TBQK-M9gAb-rjITP2zgS3vf2xNmMdE7nUPgaH4fjVou62AkpEgaWV92rQzuTSzCNOtgjpU2hbbml7PTSTPA/s2048/ODS+2+Aug+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1124" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhACmRJpRvfTdr4pTmG_wg01X64nllpBvQ9ZFkd2CYMhzLNQuUA_kk4blW5TBQK-M9gAb-rjITP2zgS3vf2xNmMdE7nUPgaH4fjVou62AkpEgaWV92rQzuTSzCNOtgjpU2hbbml7PTSTPA/s320/ODS+2+Aug+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>The first one is with Superbly Square, I drew round the squares and coloured with promarkers, then added some stamping with Reverse Squares and finished with the new Washi tape<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimFBmJWHC1XYfW5t9EJrZeli8zZnllbzl-g9zdsZusKHwQaWUfU4uu0vOEjjNeVquIAvdGsY6c_BAJ3ybrGSiP3bx0nS5eB3ut-X48j7gKHPPoPjU-xbZfHfvQQue7TrDjuhlWn-NpQ68/s806/A1a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="806" data-original-width="806" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimFBmJWHC1XYfW5t9EJrZeli8zZnllbzl-g9zdsZusKHwQaWUfU4uu0vOEjjNeVquIAvdGsY6c_BAJ3ybrGSiP3bx0nS5eB3ut-X48j7gKHPPoPjU-xbZfHfvQQue7TrDjuhlWn-NpQ68/s320/A1a.jpg" /></a></div>The second is Totally Triangular, this took a while, but I really enjoyed it, especially the triangles within the triangle<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0_219QbGq2eRV18vGsgALyTXd8HTanZadk78E1_A1h8rFwNS6BcHsx7onfy3HHc-eP3D9s7ZDDqmYgEACt6jKldce-WclAmLKEz2mqjiXoMvQxysbxiKGyEeRLd_Zsr9W6JDVyzY__qE/s666/ODS+2+Aug+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="666" data-original-width="644" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0_219QbGq2eRV18vGsgALyTXd8HTanZadk78E1_A1h8rFwNS6BcHsx7onfy3HHc-eP3D9s7ZDDqmYgEACt6jKldce-WclAmLKEz2mqjiXoMvQxysbxiKGyEeRLd_Zsr9W6JDVyzY__qE/s320/ODS+2+Aug+1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Lastly, Hugely Hexagonal, I thought Kraft Card would make a nice different background and I loved the effect of a white pencil to add highlights</div><div><br /></div><div>All stamps and stencils and washi tapes are from AALL &Create. I absolutely love being part of the AALL & Create team in my little way, especially when there is something new and exciting! AALL & Create Washi Tape!! There are 7 different rolls to choose from including a blank one for you to paint or ink and stamp your own designs. I am very happy that they have been a huge success.</p><p>I thoroughly enjoyed making samples for the ODS shows when Abs launched the tapes, but sadly they never arrived at Hochanda (I live in hope that they will turn up somewhere some day!)</p><p>I have a few to share with you here, but also I had an idea of how to use the tape in a bit of a different way.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuXKwFE4eEyCyiG6gA4BroHFXXleyW7PrrcAmUNETbZslvt2HDgy2RLmqtskkr9rkMBa1rWczgwcjBAFdSrdWYPqUwrjg0Cxr4aIkooqTh4RCKDQmEpZZY4V7LD1B2hRlCGrDX0k9MOFw/s960/118834105_3429550700436390_6297987308466839993_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuXKwFE4eEyCyiG6gA4BroHFXXleyW7PrrcAmUNETbZslvt2HDgy2RLmqtskkr9rkMBa1rWczgwcjBAFdSrdWYPqUwrjg0Cxr4aIkooqTh4RCKDQmEpZZY4V7LD1B2hRlCGrDX0k9MOFw/s320/118834105_3429550700436390_6297987308466839993_n.jpg" /></a></div>I used a spare piece of card and cut it a bit bigger than the die I intended to use (you don't want to waste this tape!)<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Stick the tape to the card I used all one design, but you could mix them up or keep a piece of card handy and stick any left over bits to it<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwmXfmvt4OgNAAkWtazPi_7J9oQExFfmqW_sYJlSi6pB_VEXp2SW8Xwx_9z4-bUuiWz7VoYPbTBejgUiUXOHMlxysmQMPW0serH-RtHR1zRKl5BQgURQbeqtLv7ESSwrIkXNowUGysCvk/s960/118889677_3429550333769760_1776207291557539354_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwmXfmvt4OgNAAkWtazPi_7J9oQExFfmqW_sYJlSi6pB_VEXp2SW8Xwx_9z4-bUuiWz7VoYPbTBejgUiUXOHMlxysmQMPW0serH-RtHR1zRKl5BQgURQbeqtLv7ESSwrIkXNowUGysCvk/s320/118889677_3429550333769760_1776207291557539354_n.jpg" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizz-KNamQRWLCF0KBb028-PwZ_LdpJu5VwfVy3tmNXNw05kw9QG0TBI9cbv3MSWH12iRLdaMnG8t2M65BVkNwDKyUITN5FpEyh4jDTk9fSMux06zL-JSclfVXDZMOJecPHtAHYREiDH7U/s960/118840926_3429550517103075_7686757013067520539_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizz-KNamQRWLCF0KBb028-PwZ_LdpJu5VwfVy3tmNXNw05kw9QG0TBI9cbv3MSWH12iRLdaMnG8t2M65BVkNwDKyUITN5FpEyh4jDTk9fSMux06zL-JSclfVXDZMOJecPHtAHYREiDH7U/s320/118840926_3429550517103075_7686757013067520539_n.jpg" /></a></div>Die cut the card with the washi tape. I love the look of it and as I used card with a bit of colour to it, that shows through to add to the affect.</div><div>I haven't used this on a project yet, but the weekend is still young...<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here are some of the samples that went missing 😢 As well as the washi tape there were new stamps and stencils from Abs and Bipasha. As many of you will know I have been in love with Abs' stencil Lotza Dotz since the first day I saw it and I am fairly sure it will remain my all time favourite stencil, but then there was the big brother, Totally Dotty, then some cousins, Totally Triangular and Lotza Trianglz and now the family has expanded to include Heapza Hexagonz, Hugely Hexagonal, Lotza Squares and Superbly Square as well as the matching stamps...I absolutely love all of them Bipasha has done some fabulous squares and hexagons to match. I was in heaven making backgrounds with these stamps and stencils, they work so well with so many techniques and different media. They proved very popular on the shows too. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDZrzI-qUTXG-pQhTh6UwPlKVkfLVbT0-SqV1Eg5CYEJ1606SXGZLekCQZsiAjMwb-7KUt7ITUSoHqJxOP9Umt-bHPIgzrKXAh0_QHZojlBkpdSchVrrUx8UELCY53CbpvkAjkmDn0lyU/s960/ODS+2+Aug+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="811" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDZrzI-qUTXG-pQhTh6UwPlKVkfLVbT0-SqV1Eg5CYEJ1606SXGZLekCQZsiAjMwb-7KUt7ITUSoHqJxOP9Umt-bHPIgzrKXAh0_QHZojlBkpdSchVrrUx8UELCY53CbpvkAjkmDn0lyU/s320/ODS+2+Aug+3.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJHYyqEv1grQ0W2ZvTsT0wco3Tq0Gjv79fbFcYEbm1jVrcuP-DvjU0h-6-267ix09eyElTNFvIuYbI46tDqWnTU7igUJhMyQOA3WjfgkKa5qqaZoO1cYpoW-O9vjp90dFcPvH2xhXDaog/s519/ODS+2+Aug+5a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="519" data-original-width="402" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJHYyqEv1grQ0W2ZvTsT0wco3Tq0Gjv79fbFcYEbm1jVrcuP-DvjU0h-6-267ix09eyElTNFvIuYbI46tDqWnTU7igUJhMyQOA3WjfgkKa5qqaZoO1cYpoW-O9vjp90dFcPvH2xhXDaog/s320/ODS+2+Aug+5a.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-LgIxvvd5bEJlkCO17wYBWu2Rs55oxie_iTvgVc9NLGNoQOGYT12WmYeWH9g7XpFHJfzIsyD413fP0YGGjA7rYC3RVWvg0WBgV2bOKpBaZvdn62xc4jNJ4DtFuXZITWlSbU1JMH8VHSg/s1439/ODS+2+Aug+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1439" data-original-width="1066" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-LgIxvvd5bEJlkCO17wYBWu2Rs55oxie_iTvgVc9NLGNoQOGYT12WmYeWH9g7XpFHJfzIsyD413fP0YGGjA7rYC3RVWvg0WBgV2bOKpBaZvdn62xc4jNJ4DtFuXZITWlSbU1JMH8VHSg/s320/ODS+2+Aug+6.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPDciL6v_C0rfoj-xdogeY-zPEJFTUtlKVLELgu-n0njYReDW6VA8u-IsT9zIsjJd7OM_fCJ4KgRi3e-Luz1WnmTSp-6KOubiD4q1i_hFOAHD6eh70NiqLKB3l056h8LYlJlUvp9buFjQ/s2048/ODS+2+Aug+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2025" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPDciL6v_C0rfoj-xdogeY-zPEJFTUtlKVLELgu-n0njYReDW6VA8u-IsT9zIsjJd7OM_fCJ4KgRi3e-Luz1WnmTSp-6KOubiD4q1i_hFOAHD6eh70NiqLKB3l056h8LYlJlUvp9buFjQ/s320/ODS+2+Aug+7.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>All stamps, stencils, dies and washi tapes are by AALL & Create.</p><p>Find more information at <a href="http://www.aallandcreate.com/boutique">www.aallandcreate.com/boutique</a></p><p>Thanks for visiting</p><p>Janet xxx</p><p><br /></p></div>Janet Pringhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18368226572733720765noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767703019979415274.post-15885095033806585732020-08-18T21:52:00.017+01:002020-08-18T22:01:50.832+01:00I'm back!<p> Hello bloggers,</p><p><br /></p><p>I am back blogging again for a while (who knows how long it will last!) I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. How have you been getting on in this strange new world? I work for the NHS so that side of things has been pretty much business as usual for me but I haven't been doing any workshops, until Saturday! I did a workshop with reduced numbers so there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the hall had provided plenty of hand gel and wipes. Everyone was very sensible and it was really nice to be out crafting with friends again.</p><p>We made a mini album which was fun! As always, everyone did their own version and as always came up with some lovely finished results and as always, I didn't take any pictures...</p><p>Here is my version..</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I decided to try them out and made some fab backgrounds...</div><div>I thought this one with the pink would go well with the new design pigs by Janet Klein. </div><div>I used the absolutely fabulous Background Noise stamp set to create the background interest then stamped and coloured the pigs and wings separately and stuck them over the top.</div><div>I added some white highlights and the sentiment to complete it.</div><div><br /></div><div>These stamps and others from Janet Klein will be on the Let Leonie Loose shows on Hochanda on Wednesday 10th June at 11.00am and 2.00pm UK time. <br />
I hope you have all been keeping safe and well and enjoying the lovely weather we have had recently. <br />
Today i am sharing a couple of samples I have made for the up coming AALL & Create One Day Special launching on Hochanda on Monday 1st June at 6.00pm. These shows will be featuring the delightful new designs by Janet Klein. Each set has the main character and extra elements which you can use to create fab little scenes. There are extra sets this time which you can use with these characters and of course with any you may already have.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyt35vLb4D9POAxDmrWSQlpIL5c6s3_3ust7UKPxWuXIURaedNtRjnr0ug_dLCGujO-XnNqC2_Z1HwVMNGjruu786a7tNSU7ynxS4RYEppfogvxk2yrOL8IegG8BoFJjFiuV03lQ0roqg/s1600/ODS+June+10a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1155" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyt35vLb4D9POAxDmrWSQlpIL5c6s3_3ust7UKPxWuXIURaedNtRjnr0ug_dLCGujO-XnNqC2_Z1HwVMNGjruu786a7tNSU7ynxS4RYEppfogvxk2yrOL8IegG8BoFJjFiuV03lQ0roqg/s320/ODS+June+10a.jpg" width="231" /></a><br />
I created the background for this one by blending distress oxides over the card, then I added some stamping. I used the fabulous new background stamps by Abs. I love the new 'Splodge' stamp it is an absolute must have and I am pretty sure it will be an all time favourite. I stamped it round the edges in several colours and added some circles from 'Roundly' too<br />
<br />
All the characters and elements are stamped on separate card, coloured with pencils and cut out then mounted on the base<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD7mNVJ5dJdgH-mhRzf6jJL2p2ITroN52GnHwVdFP4jJVHTmS_wOQeFFREOmY834UEQceI39qxAeyKKzR5kHpcK9nxA_1Oi2qMeYBtN_3eDDDtynQFvVutoC2I9Rq0WXcfSiMHdGOS__M/s1600/ODS+June+16.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="843" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD7mNVJ5dJdgH-mhRzf6jJL2p2ITroN52GnHwVdFP4jJVHTmS_wOQeFFREOmY834UEQceI39qxAeyKKzR5kHpcK9nxA_1Oi2qMeYBtN_3eDDDtynQFvVutoC2I9Rq0WXcfSiMHdGOS__M/s320/ODS+June+16.jpg" width="167" /></a></div>
The second sample is made much along the same lines, an ink-blended background then I added some interest with the lovely stencil 'Starry Night' which is designed by Janet to complement the range.<br />
I also added some stamping with 'Splodge' (because I couldn't help myself) and some elements from 'Background Noise'<br />
the 'Puppy Toys' are stamped and cut out of separate card<br />
<br />

<br />
It's cold isn't it!! What happened there ? Last weekend I was sitting out in the sun, now I'm wrapped up in layers and still feel cold.<br />
<br />
Anyway, I had a lovely time a couple of days ago having a little play with Olga's new stencils from AALL & Create....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT79wPuJigmwvInmufSgEVt0Hkv4AslzwMkDujjlEf2tBLEUXi-y7cnoyyVWJF_FI2ZqENg0p1yIshNR3teQRr573R3gZFlU0atFBbJdLLsbeTK5Kp88dfmYKtrOceZ5fu9LeV1mrJeLE/s1600/May+01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="805" data-original-width="621" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT79wPuJigmwvInmufSgEVt0Hkv4AslzwMkDujjlEf2tBLEUXi-y7cnoyyVWJF_FI2ZqENg0p1yIshNR3teQRr573R3gZFlU0atFBbJdLLsbeTK5Kp88dfmYKtrOceZ5fu9LeV1mrJeLE/s320/May+01.jpg" width="246" /></a></div>
I went a bit green for this one, I put the stencil in place on some glossy card stock and dabbed alcohol ink all over, using various colours of green and yellow. I only did part of it to leave a white corner. When it was all dry, I outlined the design with a fine black pen. (I can't help myself!!)<br />
On a separate piece of card I stamped and embossed the flowers, then added the same colour inks over the top.<br />
Cut out the flowers and add them to the card<br />
<br />
Stencil #94 Sundew<br />
Stamp #265 Blooming Poppies<br />

<br />
I hope you are all enjoying the fabulous weather this weekend! I know we are all staying at home, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves does it??<br />
<br />
I love having the extra time to sit in the garden and also to do some crafting, I have a ton of stuff I have never used, so this is my chance to give them a go...<br />
<br />
I did a step by step for today's project. I used the gorgeous new AALL & Create stencil #93 Enchanted Garden by lovely Olga Heldwein and Ecoline brush pens which I have had for ages and rarely used!<br />

My project today features one of the gorgeous new A4 stencils by Olga. This is #90 Elegance.<br />
<br />
I used one of my favourite techniques and brushed ink through the stencil then used a black fineliner to outline the whole lot, it does take a while, but I find it very relaxing and it doesn't take as long as you may think!<br />
<br />
Have a lovely day<br />

<br />
I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.<br />
Today's cards both feature stencils from Olga who has been creating a range of beautiful, large intricate designs.<br />
If you know me, you will know that one of my favourite things to do is to draw round stencils, it takes a while but I find it very relaxing..<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv40YSCukHQ5dN6w0g3EZ6o6vqI_TxbOhvRJsUZPUHqym7FZPuyssJL8cpjlJjAj5kRy6JDTVWAM5Y2SVkfOmXnThEzOBW3UfKoAQbRoa6C8nPr7ZqSYlBuQB3xGdaRsCQJCRIgoCLZKI/s1600/ODS+Jan+03.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1115" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv40YSCukHQ5dN6w0g3EZ6o6vqI_TxbOhvRJsUZPUHqym7FZPuyssJL8cpjlJjAj5kRy6JDTVWAM5Y2SVkfOmXnThEzOBW3UfKoAQbRoa6C8nPr7ZqSYlBuQB3xGdaRsCQJCRIgoCLZKI/s320/ODS+Jan+03.jpeg" width="222" /></a>For my first card here, I brushed ink through the stencil #84 Profusion then removed it and drew all round it with a fine black pen.<br />
I used the lovely #13 Bursting Buds die by Bipasha to cut out the centre, I also cut the die in black and white card then pieced the bits back in, so the die cut pieces are embedded in the design rather than being on top.<br />
I added a few extra buds too.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdayACheuUyBhwEutsrMDHMEFua4v7E4Vfm7ziQgAlkebDQNoMtgpr235QRbwcC-QCl0S7yyZjRF2IsRY3UKdF-wiD9zg53rDJcZy5huWDS-5DRsn6Ho_z7y1t87j8HSYwoXqFRM_VjVM/s1600/ODS+Jan+04.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1139" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdayACheuUyBhwEutsrMDHMEFua4v7E4Vfm7ziQgAlkebDQNoMtgpr235QRbwcC-QCl0S7yyZjRF2IsRY3UKdF-wiD9zg53rDJcZy5huWDS-5DRsn6Ho_z7y1t87j8HSYwoXqFRM_VjVM/s320/ODS+Jan+04.jpeg" width="227" /></a><br />
<br />
FOr the second card, I just added ink then drew round the stencil, added a few splatters, some washi tape and a sentiment<br />
#86 Twirling Tendrils<br />
The sentiment is from stamp #255 Bird Lover by Janet Klein<br />

I hope you all had a good weekend, it was lovely and sunny here, so I spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden.<br />
My cards today go back a bit, to the time when AALL & Create introduced floral dies to the range. It is no secret that I am not keen on cutting out, so I was really pleased to see these...<br />
<br />
The gorgeous floral stamps by Olga are some of my favourites in the range. I love leaving them black and white, I think they look stunning!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxfdhfE7dlFtnd8vAWTFpe7OV4_PeQKH7DoaXcxxBtV7SfYlO3YyX-pX5_JTBYzbKh9hRieN4fQyATB0yNWo14mgJ6uShRNQAj4g1wizO2pLJ7ofYTDILv-gH7Ikr3_6Qdd-DZ_LcI3SE/s1600/Nov+11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1424" data-original-width="1511" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxfdhfE7dlFtnd8vAWTFpe7OV4_PeQKH7DoaXcxxBtV7SfYlO3YyX-pX5_JTBYzbKh9hRieN4fQyATB0yNWo14mgJ6uShRNQAj4g1wizO2pLJ7ofYTDILv-gH7Ikr3_6Qdd-DZ_LcI3SE/s320/Nov+11.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I kept it fairly simple for this one; the central square is a background I found in my stash, I added some black ink through the Weathered Tiles stencil #59 by Abs and tore it into a square.<br />
I stamped the sentiments from stamp sets #229 Blooming Field and #232 Friendship both by Olga round the edge of my base card.<br />
I stamped out the flowers from #229 and used the matching dies to cut many layers of different colour card and glued them all together<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhciW9ws-WJT5uUpSQEljOqQQim7hRxZvIkBBMdepCx3MzbRu5KDO89tY3mGLuxlO5tqhqMVR9DagLOygRlAI3Nahfj2vYIINODDkXjZXL2JikzYH45_0cX3jpCu1YMQIVGrTuEd7TO78Q/s1600/Nov+11a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhciW9ws-WJT5uUpSQEljOqQQim7hRxZvIkBBMdepCx3MzbRu5KDO89tY3mGLuxlO5tqhqMVR9DagLOygRlAI3Nahfj2vYIINODDkXjZXL2JikzYH45_0cX3jpCu1YMQIVGrTuEd7TO78Q/s320/Nov+11a.jpg" width="240" /></a><br />
A close up to show the layers...there is no need to stamp the lower layers, just lots of die cutting!<br />
<br />
Then just assemble it all on the card<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLvoiTAQrG7QwzP6eLDaW9_kAmNDJDJY6OX-aY5VALmvFkGHiZEa0z9nxROxjnf277m87Wb6ysK_-Rgg9LmKcednqGx5h4VpP3mAvd3UvDDgHSpN9lr8axaW0f5cWOgiPW3I6cPhvMOKE/s1600/Nov+8.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1583" data-original-width="1600" height="316" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLvoiTAQrG7QwzP6eLDaW9_kAmNDJDJY6OX-aY5VALmvFkGHiZEa0z9nxROxjnf277m87Wb6ysK_-Rgg9LmKcednqGx5h4VpP3mAvd3UvDDgHSpN9lr8axaW0f5cWOgiPW3I6cPhvMOKE/s320/Nov+8.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For the second card, I just stamped everything in black and die cut the main image, added a couple of layers, so it stands out from the card and added a few black dots...<br />
<br />

<br />
I am sure many of you will know that we were due to visit Kenya in March. We had our suitcase pretty much packed and were all set to go to the hotel near Heathrow the next morning, when we heard that the Kenyan President was going to deny access to foreigners....I was totally devastated! It was not just a holiday, it was going to be time spent with my lovely friend/unofficial adopted son, Sammy. I was so looking forward to seeing him again.<br />
I sulked big time for a couple of days, but the situation here in the UK got worse and it was obviously the best thing for us to go later when all this is over. <br />
The situation for the guys in Kenya though is pretty serious, many, many of them rely on the tourist industry for their income, there is little or no government support, so they are in danger of going hungry<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0ouGDjO3Q7XRPxC8M0nYSxkj3Xp8ZiQNFxo1xTvFJsWCvOmKkak-Cutjxrp3YmjlbwvEooM6JLFv1WhyE3oXmJ6eq58eCCAemMtqV3YKBksMbkJTePAuQIEFHINP_kYwpiwBq7U4qqhk/s1600/Image+%25287%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1594" data-original-width="1600" height="317" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0ouGDjO3Q7XRPxC8M0nYSxkj3Xp8ZiQNFxo1xTvFJsWCvOmKkak-Cutjxrp3YmjlbwvEooM6JLFv1WhyE3oXmJ6eq58eCCAemMtqV3YKBksMbkJTePAuQIEFHINP_kYwpiwBq7U4qqhk/s320/Image+%25287%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a>I made this card when Kenya was very much on my mind and in my heart. The main image is a painting by Sammy and the background is simply multiple stamping using the fabulous #312 Mini Tribal stamp by Abs.<br />
<br />
I posted all of this on my fb page a while ago and several people said they wanted to help, so I set up a fundraiser and have so far raised £700.00 which is amazing and I am very grateful to everyone who donated. I have sent some of the money to Sammy and he has been buying food, soap and facemasks for many local families and neighbours.<br />
<br />
The best part of all of this for me is that Sammy has been giving food to some street kids he has seen there. This means sooo much to him because up until a few years ago, he was living on the streets himself and knows exactly what it is like. He has always wanted to help those kids and it is his dream and goal to set up a school to provide free education for them. Distributing the food to them has given him a sense of purpose and he is even more determined now to achieve his goal, but first he wants to get them food!<br />

<br />
It is an amazing thing to be on a design team, especially for such a lovely company as AALL & Create, it is very exciting to get a whole batch of new stamps or stencils to work with, as I am sure you can imagine. There are pressures though! Sometimes you have to make things when you are not really in the mood, or you are tired, sometimes you will be asked to work with designs you are not so keen on. I do LOVE pretty much all the stamps from AALL & Create, but I don't like skulls! I know they are currently popular and many people love them, but they are not for me...<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqcEvDzfbY-9F6lVCqUVzseHQtbPzqNZRThsHFB82TPlNXcIe9tKdH4wqmqw2yL5wZOHIe2VIKU8GbfZ32cMw0Q2olU7f4FtQVwpNR_TA2Ut_JREf2OVCXTcxf62w3yBMQi41S9KK6vrI/s1600/56.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1142" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqcEvDzfbY-9F6lVCqUVzseHQtbPzqNZRThsHFB82TPlNXcIe9tKdH4wqmqw2yL5wZOHIe2VIKU8GbfZ32cMw0Q2olU7f4FtQVwpNR_TA2Ut_JREf2OVCXTcxf62w3yBMQi41S9KK6vrI/s320/56.png" width="227" /></a>Soooo a little while ago one of the stamps that was in the show has a skull. I have most of the stamps already, but not this one so Abs said he would send it to me if I used the skull. (He was joking and of course there are many other lovely elements I could have used)<br />
I decided I would use the skull, just as a little challenge to myself - I am trying to get out of my comfort zone a bit this year!!<br />
<br />
I thought I might as well go for it and do a page rather than a card - another 'out of my comfort zone' venture!<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I started by creating a background on mixed media card. I used acrylic paints and stencils. I wanted to make it fairly masculine, so I used red and black paint, but very lightly.<br />
<br />
After I pulled the print. I stamped and embossed the image, then coloured the circles and wing with diluted acrylic paint<br />
<br />
The skull didn't stand out enough, so I stamped that onto white card, cut it out and glued over the top<br />
<br />
I used the matching stencil #47 Circle of Life to add some Grit Paste and the sentiment comes from #86 Zara by Fiona<br />
<br />
I have to say, I love the result!<br />
<br />
Wishing you all a lovely day<br />
<br />

<br />
I thought I would do another post while I am in the mood... I looked back and realised that it is 6 months since I last posted so I have a lot of catching up!<br />
This year my New Year's Resolution is to do more than just cards, so I have been doing some different projects; this is one of them.<br />
<br />
I used lolly sticks for the background...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuID1Jlwe5NMWp3JFUBV5vMMGYxgqwCp_NEHRuN8FK5QSpkdF4DsGYI3gEssV26dWZYJLLzJWeaudjnpfJEsRBvjVXapimLa5bLoM0ZCf-1nJuj-dAlDFh0SeWN1VM-3LNqKIJGoARwwA/s1600/ODS+April+05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="776" data-original-width="705" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuID1Jlwe5NMWp3JFUBV5vMMGYxgqwCp_NEHRuN8FK5QSpkdF4DsGYI3gEssV26dWZYJLLzJWeaudjnpfJEsRBvjVXapimLa5bLoM0ZCf-1nJuj-dAlDFh0SeWN1VM-3LNqKIJGoARwwA/s320/ODS+April+05.jpg" width="290" /></a></div>
I started by laying out 8 sticks and glued two more along the front to stick everything together. <br />
I used several colours of Izink Ice glazes to cover the sticks<br />
Once dry, I added some stamping with #312 Mini Tribal by Abs to add to the background<br />
I added more Ice Glaze through stencil #2 by Abs<br />
On separate card I stamped the beautiful flowers from stamp set #265 Blooming Poppies, #270 Just Grow #273 Unfurling Petals all by Olga<br />
I added Ice glaze over the top to colour all the flowers, then cut them out and added them in place on the stick background.<br />
The sentiment comes from #273<br />
I added some white splatters as a finishing touch<br />
<br />
I had a lovely time making this it was really good fun to do something different!<br />

<br />
I have decided to revive my blog again after a few months off. Sorry about the long break, but I got out of the swing of it, I will try and get back to regular posting<br />
<br />
How are you all doing, locked in? I had three weeks at home which I loved, plenty of time for crafting and trying out new techniques and experimenting with all those things I bought but never got round to using.<br />
I am back at work now though, so I don't have as much time<br />
<br />
I will start by catching up a bit with some older projects, then I have a few step by steps to share in the next few days...<br />
<br />
On Wednesday 22nd April, Leonie is featuring AALL & Create stamps and stencils on her Let Leonie Loose shows on Hochanda, so I will show a few projects made with the products from the shows<br />

<br />
I have some exciting news! I have more TV shows on Hochanda on Tuesday 29th October at 08.00am and 2.00pm. I am excited to be featuring the brand new stamps by the brand new AALL & Create designer Janet Klein. Janet's designs are quirky and cute and I am looking forward to demoing with them.<br />
I also have some new characters by Olga Helwein, which are just fabulous, they are very me!! I have got stencils too this time! Yay!! Stencils are my favourite! It was the stencils which attracted me to AALL & Create in the first place, I just love them.<br />
I am a happy bunny!<br />
<br />
The card tonight is one of the ones I made for the ODS show with Tracy. I love this card! I don't often say that about my own work, but every now and then I do one which I really love.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXT3DidEpgCq7IciJD6Ixnk2KeC4H3XnDAepNmWn4ASm3ZemycN3-lpuo00PKmpm7uYJoJ1jH4r6H0UVw5EVofGPm2YUxEikXIDCD12mgxfrDjg3QvZxnfkUQwE9Zia_kRQNSkntvsuuY/s1600/ODS+Oct+5.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1593" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXT3DidEpgCq7IciJD6Ixnk2KeC4H3XnDAepNmWn4ASm3ZemycN3-lpuo00PKmpm7uYJoJ1jH4r6H0UVw5EVofGPm2YUxEikXIDCD12mgxfrDjg3QvZxnfkUQwE9Zia_kRQNSkntvsuuY/s320/ODS+Oct+5.jpeg" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
It is easy! I found an old brusho background in my stash.<br />
I stamped #55 Layered Grunge by Tracy in black and added some white highlights. I loved it at this point and didn't really want to cover it...<br />
On separate card, I stamped and embossed the fabulous dragonfly from #230 On Dragonfly Wings also by Tracy. I cut it out and added it to the centre of the card. It didn't really stand out enough, so I put a piece of handmade paper under it.<br />
Then I just stamped embossed and cut out the Dragonfly word and added that.<br />
I did a few white splatters et Voila!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you can join me on Tuesday<br />

<br />
It has been an exciting time for the team at AALL & Create recently, there was a One Day Special featuring the new release stamps by Tracy Evans. They sold out in 12 mins!!! Amazing but not surprising, they are lovely designs. Luckily more stock was available on extended delivery. <br />
<br />
My first sample from the show features the lovely quirky fairy houses by Tracy. These are a bit of a change from her usual style but equally lovely. Clever lady!<br />
<br />
I had the idea of using the top of the sunflower stencil as hills quite a long time ago and I have been waiting for the right stamps to come along, then Yay!! Tracy's houses came along - perfect!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzbeB3j0AtCWpA0NRIAdxMMnumEJ0j_cOQzG2M2seIP_odUFL6kglA0FRmNLe7viH_Ty46k2v8LIkzLaySmzlZ7kI5zDEcC8u4nkCNnp02JgEob2Wkg4dzYZJmQjYBZWyRb5tt-tgeK8w/s1600/ODS+Oct+1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1229" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzbeB3j0AtCWpA0NRIAdxMMnumEJ0j_cOQzG2M2seIP_odUFL6kglA0FRmNLe7viH_Ty46k2v8LIkzLaySmzlZ7kI5zDEcC8u4nkCNnp02JgEob2Wkg4dzYZJmQjYBZWyRb5tt-tgeK8w/s320/ODS+Oct+1.jpeg" width="245" /></a></div>
<br />
The first thing to say is that this is NOT a quick card!! <br />
I started with an A4 piece of card and blended various colours of distress oxides through the Sunflower Power stencil #77 by Olga<br />
With the stencil still in place I also added blue around the edges then used my favourite stencil in the world ever (so far...) Lotza Dotz #39 by Abs to add more interest round the edges.<br />
This is the long bit - I doodled round the whole lot with a fine black pen, it took ages and I had only intended to highlight certain areas, but got a bit carried away and did the lot!!! I know this won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it!<br />
Once finished, I stamped the houses #261 Magical House and #263 Heart and Home on separate pieces of card, coloured them and cut them out and added them to the sunflower hills. I stamped the little fairy, the heart flowers and the words in place.<br />
As a finishing touch, I added texture paste through the little squares on the Lotza Dotz stencil and inked round the edge of the card.<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for visiting!<br />

<br />
Have you visited the AALL & Create Fanatics group on fb yet?? It is the most amazing place to go to see some awesome and inspirational projects. There is huge variety because the projects are posted by the stamp DT the Guest DT, the Hochanda DT and most importantly everyone else!! <br />
It is part of what AALL & Create is all about to provide inspiration and ideas for those of us who have bought their products.<br />
Have a look, if you haven't already...<br />
<br />
I have two clean and simple cards here today, both of which I demoed on Hochanda on Saturday<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiIvC25ifbev_MUpBbUJy8KXqO_9i-YBojNxLgSnoc546IS1emLkYIYs-EGQXhQVoKy0j3jeG-VIcRqnaEN_PD3B1OBHctKaUKp0h7DdYr_HeZauHj3Y_0XxaSuJ0tHRxlQCscLQPGn0Q/s1600/Oct+5+3.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1129" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiIvC25ifbev_MUpBbUJy8KXqO_9i-YBojNxLgSnoc546IS1emLkYIYs-EGQXhQVoKy0j3jeG-VIcRqnaEN_PD3B1OBHctKaUKp0h7DdYr_HeZauHj3Y_0XxaSuJ0tHRxlQCscLQPGn0Q/s320/Oct+5+3.jpeg" width="225" /></a></div>
My first card features stamps #69 Quirky Birds, #133 Makers Marks and #134 Dot Matrix, all by Louise Nelson.<br />
It is very easy! Just stamp, colour and add a bit of shading!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr9IMVm0XIQBSa4vYwf9iRgzHHmKlpdZqm9q7aEs3oIhNyt58-1QosZeqaZx8cUmuN2oy5ykYPIl4KHHIXfj3aISEy_RlUMAujcmG-uwDnfje5uklnl2WTrxzsFt63EoLAovhJaay_wf8/s1600/Oct+5+4.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1138" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr9IMVm0XIQBSa4vYwf9iRgzHHmKlpdZqm9q7aEs3oIhNyt58-1QosZeqaZx8cUmuN2oy5ykYPIl4KHHIXfj3aISEy_RlUMAujcmG-uwDnfje5uklnl2WTrxzsFt63EoLAovhJaay_wf8/s320/Oct+5+4.jpeg" width="227" /></a></div>
The second card features stamps # 199 #200 and #210 Background Mash up all by Tracy Evans.<br />
<br />
I cut an aperture out of some copy paper and placed it over the card, so I could brush some ink into a rectangle.<br />
Keep the mask in place and stamp the daisy in the same colour ink, then the fabulous Background Mash up in grey<br />
<br />
Stamp the two main flowers in place on the card and on to a separate piece of card.<br />
Colour and cut out the heads of the flowers on the spare card, then place over the stamped image.<br />
Add the greeting and a few gems..<br />
<br />
Thank you very much for visiting.<br />
Have a lovely evening<br />

<br />
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend! It is very rainy here today. It is always interesting to see the cats' behaviour as the weather changes. During the summer, when it is light and sunny, they spend all their time outside and only pop in for meals (although as they are getting older, they do tend to come in overnight too!) During the autumn and winter, they are mostly indoors all the time. Today, I am surrounded by cats!!<br />
<br />
I was back on Hochanda on Saturday, I had two shows demoing with lovely AALL & Create stamps. I really enjoy doing the shows and for some reason, I don't feel nervous at all. The presenters are lovely, they are friendly and put you at ease, and it is nice to know they are there guiding you through the show.<br />
<br />
The first demo I did featured the large A4 stamp#142 Edison Game and the A6 set #46, both by Olga <span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">#30 by Bipasha BK</span><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"> #118 by Louise</span><span class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"> Nelson and #79 by Tracy Evans.</span><br />
<span class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;">I have seen the large stamp many times, but it was only when I had the other set, which has the raven in it, that I saw the tree in the image.</span></span><br />

<br />
Well, it's another lovely day here, lots of lovely sunshine!! Sadly I have lost my crafty mojo for the moment (I have been doing admin stuff which has stifled me a bit!) so thought I would still do something craft related and write a blog post.<br />
<br />
On Sunday it was my workshop in Great Blakenham, always a delight to meet up with the lovely ladies and I had a special treat when some of them showed me some projects they had done following Abs' awesome demo on Hochanda the previous Thursday. I always love seeing people's work and they had done some amazing pieces.<br />
<br />
We did some Christmas cards which are a bit quirky (they are done with AALL & Create stamps after all!) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijyHPVXkIbITjcyVjFSJoqHqPf1vrMyjFjAFUJ6oTzNSTQrtPJitl2Y6zUfH_meh4CrC7fq2xwGQRYWCi6DkRsn0ONu2HC-_CEgkhN-bZAlHu9MCP28UAY-9GZRbXRpbvmBM2kXfaFtSY/s1600/Sep+1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1143" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijyHPVXkIbITjcyVjFSJoqHqPf1vrMyjFjAFUJ6oTzNSTQrtPJitl2Y6zUfH_meh4CrC7fq2xwGQRYWCi6DkRsn0ONu2HC-_CEgkhN-bZAlHu9MCP28UAY-9GZRbXRpbvmBM2kXfaFtSY/s320/Sep+1.jpeg" width="227" /></a></div>
I had made a very similar card to the first one last year and sent it out as a Christmas card, but I really like it, so I thought It would make a good workshop card.<br />
I adore the Quirky Bird stamp set #69 by Louise Nelson and just needed #78 Quirky Circles and stencil #35 Splashes by Aida to go with it to do this card.<br />
It is pretty much stamped, coloured cut out and layered, then finished with a bit of texture paste through the stencil in places<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5QIHyu_PXQTDPKISjlBMtWjabgsZT6UQbmJ2yKXirlIQjVNoQTFYh4Z2pa_oUQa2iinnmPWvNlx_gEfxyviDiKjD65ZaEs0HKCMOdE_7Cb-JV7g3M_uhyphenhyphenVu0sOqw0-0O38wR1hZWgdiY/s1600/Sep+2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1500" data-original-width="1468" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5QIHyu_PXQTDPKISjlBMtWjabgsZT6UQbmJ2yKXirlIQjVNoQTFYh4Z2pa_oUQa2iinnmPWvNlx_gEfxyviDiKjD65ZaEs0HKCMOdE_7Cb-JV7g3M_uhyphenhyphenVu0sOqw0-0O38wR1hZWgdiY/s320/Sep+2.jpeg" width="312" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For the second card, I used #210 Background Mash Up by Tracy Evans to create the background, I used it on its side so the birds had a bit of 'ground' to stand on.<br />
To add some extra interest, I spend a long and happy time doodling round the circles at the bottom with a fine black pen. I can happily spend days doing this, I love it, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, so I controlled my self and only did the bit at the bottom. (Well, that's not true, I did a few little bits here and there along the side too!!)<br />
It just needs a greeting adding...<br />
<br />
<br />
I went a bit off piste for the third card because I didn't have a finished sample prepared, so I gave out the stamps made a few suggestions for how to use them and left the ladies to it! I now realise they don't actually need me there at all!! Everyone did something different and they were all totally amazing!!! It was such a pleasure to see what everyone did. I might do that again.....<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for visiting I am off to sit in the sun and recover my mojo... actually a good place to look if you are seeking inspiration is the AALL & Create Fanatics page on fb, it is a little treasure trove of fabulous ideas and inspiration from the stamp designers the design team members and also AALL & Create customers and fans. There are new projects all the time...check it out! Show us your projects too, we love to see them..<br />

It has been a lovely day here today, soft and sunny. I have been doing the final preparation for my workshop in Great Blakenham tomorrow - we are making a start on Christmas! I know it seems early but there aren't many more workshops before Christmas, so we have to get started<br />
<br />
Following on from my last blog, the other exciting show I did on Hochanda was the craftalong with my lovely friend, Abs. I was so excited when I first heard he was doing a craftalong, I knew he would be popular. I may have dropped a few subtle hints like ABS, I WANT TO DO THE CRAFTALONG WITH YOU!!!! hahaha <br />
<br />
It was an absolute joy to be there watching him work and creating the fab projects along with him and all the lovely viewers at home. I have seen so many lovely pieces of work, so I know many of you joined in and created along with us. I didn't get anything finished on the day, but I have done them all now... I hope if you did join in that you post your projects for us to see, there is a wonderful group on fb called AALL & Create Fanatics and there is a wealth of inspirational projects on there, we always look forward to seeing what everyone does, so don't be afraid to show us! <br />

<br />
Sorry it has been a while since my last blog, I have a bit of catching up to do. So what have I been up to? Well, I guess the most exciting things are my trips to Hochanda. I did two shows on 8th September which I really enjoyed. I feel very at home there, and don't feel too nervous. I don't know why, I just feel at ease. It was lovely to work with the delightful Niki and fabulous to meet Yiannis, he was lovely and put me very much at ease.<br />
These are my demos from the shows...<br />

I will do another post soon with my finished projects...</div>

<br />
I hope you are enjoying the warm weather, I know some people don't like the heat, but I love it! I am pretending to do some gardening, I like to be outside in this weather, so I have a pair of secateurs with me and am doing a bit of dead-heading (but not too much, mostly it is sitting around!!)<br />
<br />
Flowers seems like a relevant theme for a card..<br />
This is a landscape DL card, with three elements across, I like doing this sort of layout.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I started by stamping #151 Layered Domino by Tracy Evans with Distress Oxide ink .<br />
Stamp the three flowers from #70 Quirky Blossoms also by Tracy, across the centre. I also stamped them on a previously made background and cut out the heads only to attach over the top of the images on the main card.<br />
Round the edges, I added some inking through stencil #28 and some texture paste through stencil #39 Lotza Dotz both by Abs.<br />
The words are from the Quirky Blossoms set.<br />

<br />
I have had a fairly lazy day today following all the excitement of the last few days. On Saturday morning I did my first TV show on Hochanda, representing AALL & Create. I had been really quite nervous in the few days leading up to it, but on the day, I was strangely calm and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.<br />
My demos went fairly well, apart from having a dried out inkpad (which had worked perfectly well the previous day!!) and losing the die (which did panic me a bit, but I found it in time, thank goodness!!!)<br />
I have had lots of lovely messages from people saying they enjoyed the show, so thank you so much if you sent one, I really appreciate them.<br />
Thanks also the the Design Team, for their support and encouragement, it is such a lovely team to belong to. Thank you to Olga for making so many fabulous samples for the show, I hope I showed them all!<br />
Finally a huge thank you to Abs for all his help, support and encouragement and for having faith and trust in me to represent AALL & Create on TV.<br />
Here are the samples I made for the show...<br />
